XXIst century's icons & myths mapping our daily roaming en el Laberinto de la soledad #8

Artist: Kate MccGwire
Discovering English lyrics of world-wide tubes while you are taught English-language at school in a non English-speaking country is always an astonishment. First because you miss the sexual dimension of them and an invisible barrier prevents you from acceding to THE meaning in spite of all the dictionaries you took the trouble to read. Second because you cannot believe such a simplicity of syntax is shamelessly allowed on public radio-waves if you compare with your national traditions or with your teachers' requirements. Then you do as everybody else in the world: you do not care anymore and you happily wave on the music.
Herewith is a compensation to this scholastic injustice: following a fake ideological debate in the 90‘s in France on French language’s purity to keep from being damaged, a web-site cocks a snook at the expression ‘Pardon my French’ and provides with direct & literaly translation of world-wide tubes (bands, titles & songs) from the current Lingua Franca to French language. With a sincere bad-faith and a true taste for cheap music, here you go.
